Supreme Court Rejects the Child Online Protection Act

The United States Supreme Court rejects the Child Online Protection Act, upholding a previous appellate court ruling that found it too restrictive and violated the First Amendment because less restrictive technologies better served that purpose. This can now eliminate a clause found in most website Terms of Service. Like the Communications Decency Act of 1996, COPA now becomes defunct.
